Dear HARDI and HALO Members:
HALO – Helping All Live On! HALO’s members are comprised of spouses, family members and employees of HARDI members and trade press who support Homes for Our Troops, a national non-profit organization dedicated to building specially-adapted homes for service members who have been severely injured in combat operations since September 11, 2001.
The HALO Silent Auction will take place at the opening reception of the HARDI Annual Fall Conference on Saturday, October 6th, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. We are asking HARDI and HALO members to donate gift certificates or items worth $50, $100 or more to be auctioned during HARDI’s opening reception. Be creative! You might consider donating restaurant or home improvement store certificates, condo or time share rentals, small pieces of art, consulting services, etc. Please click here for a donation form.
To kick off the event HARDI is making the first donation for the auction. HARDI is offering a full executive conference registration gift certificate. This prize, valued at $700, can be used for either the 2013 or the 2014 conference. Please help us make this auction the most successful yet. Send your gift certificates or donations to the HARDI office by September 10. You can send them to HALO in care of HARDI. If you are sending a check, please make it payable to Homes for Our Troops.
In addition to the silent auction HALO is sponsoring the HALO-HARDI Benefit Walk on Tuesday, October 9, at 7:00 a.m. All conference attendees and their families are invited to join us for the one-hour, non-competitive walk. Join us for the walk or support your favorite walker by making a donation online at www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/halohardiwalk.
We look forward to your support of HALO’s fundraising activities at both the Silent Auction and the HALO-HARDI 2012 Benefit Walk. We will accept cash, checks and credit cards as payment. HALO and Homes for Our Troops thank you for your continued generosity.

Homes for Our Troops is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded by John Gonsalves in 2004. The organization’s mission is to build specially-adapted homes for service members who have been severely injured in combat operations since September 11, 2001. All homes are built at no cost to the veteran thanks to donations from thousands of individuals, foundation grants, corporate sponsors, professional tradespeople and generous support from countless volunteers.
Since 2004, Homes for Our Troops has committed to providing barrier-free homes to 100 military families and hopes to build more than 100 more in the next three years. For more information, visit www.homesforourtroops.com.
